Cable, Spider-Woman, and More Shine in New Marvel Masterpieces III Covers

Spider-Woman, Cable, She-Hulk, Fantastic Four’s Invisible Woman, and Night Thrasher star in a new wave of Marvel Masterpieces III variant covers.

In October 2023, Marvel Comics announced that Greg and Tim Hildebrandt’s iconic Marvel Masterpieces III trading card art — which launched in 1994 following the Marvel Masterpieces trading card line’s original launch in 1992 and the second wave in 1993 — will return as a brand-new collection of variant covers releasing throughout the coming year. 

Marvel Comics has now unveiled five new Marvel Masterpieces III variant covers, all of which can be viewed below and will be released in February 2024:

What titles are the Marvel Masterpieces III variants releasing with?

With all five variants created by the Hildebrandt twins, the covers will be released with the following titles: Fantastic Four #17 (February 7), Cable #2 (February 28), Sensational She-Hulk #5 (February 7), Night Trasher #1 (February 14), and Spider-Woman #4 (February 14).

All five of the Marvel Masterpieces III  covers are also available as virgin variant covers.

“Across more than 150 beautifully painted illustrations, comic fans saw the Brothers Hildebrandt’s masterful approach to the Marvel Universe with these timeless depictions of heroes and villains that have stayed with in the hearts and minds of fans ever since,” Marvel Comics said in the official announcement. “Now, be captivated once more when they adorn the covers of select Marvel titles next year!”

The previously announced Marvel Masterpieces III variant covers coming in January 2024 will be released with the following titles: Fantastic Four #15 (January 3), Luke Cage: Gang War #3 (January 10), Amazing Spider-Man #42 (January 17), Daredevil #5 (January 17), Invincible Iron Man #14 (January 17), Immortal Thor #6 (January 24), Avengers Inc. #5 (January 31), Carnage #3 (January 31), and Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars: Battleworld #3 (January 31).
