Jill Valentine Gets the Spotlight In New Promo For Resident Evil

Next month, the Resident Evil franchise is returning to the big screen in Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. However, this is a complete reboot of the previous six films, so there’s no superhuman Alice this time. Instead, the focus falls on the game’s original characters. That includes Hannah John-Kamen’s Jill Valentine, the heroine of the original Resident Evil video game.

Sony Pictures has released a new promo for Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City that allows John-Kamen to share her thoughts on Jill. There’s also a really bad “Jill sandwich” joke, as a callback to the first game.

Here’s the official synopsis from Sony Pictures:

“Returning to the origins of the massively popular Resident Evil franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games to life for a whole new generation of fans. In Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.”

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City hits theaters on November 24.
