‘The Tater’ pointed us to this page where you can check out the first two pictures of Ken Watanabe (“The Last Samurai”) as Ra’s Al Ghul on the set of Warner Bros.’ Batman Begins! If you can’t reach the article directly, you can also check out the pics here and here.
Also, ‘Bats’ wrote in with another Chicago set report…
Being lucky enough to work nearby where they were filming “Batman Begins” Sunday night/Monday morning, I was able to watch the last scene filmed for that night.
The scene was a bunch of regular cars driving eastbound on Jackson Blvd. until they reach a red light at Clark St. Coming up behind them is the Batmobile being chased by two Gotham cop cars.
Seeing that there’s nowhere to go, the Batmobile flies up on the sidewalk, crashes through a bike rack, a couple of newspaper vending machines, then a fake bus stop canopy & then onto Clark St. going southbound. Both cop cars follow it, but one crashes.
This was all in one take & was spectacular to see.
