Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes Gets PC Release, Beta Set for May

Electronic Arts announced this week that the mobile strategy game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is getting an official PC version, with the nearly 10-year-old game seeing a set of upgrades for its port as well.

The PC port of the game will arrive sometime in the summer, with a closed beta set to take part sometime in May. For those who already have put in a ton of time in the mobile version, developer Capital Games promises that progression will be able to be carried over to the PC and that both versions will be synced, allowing for full cross-platform, cross-commerce, and cross-progression capabilities.

Galaxy of Heroes PC Port will include visual upgrades

Galaxy of Heroes’ PC port will also come with what Capital Games describes as “better visuals” and “an improved layout.” The game will also continue to update with new content and regular in-game events, which will increase the roster of playable characters.

Capital Games says one of the next additions to the game will be the highly anticipated addition of Jar Jar Binks, which is set to coincide with the upcoming 25th anniversary of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

Originally released in 2015, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is a collecting RPG game that sees players taking part in simulated holographic battles using various figures from the Star Wars franchise. The game has different modes, including player vs. player arenas, as well as a variety of campaigns and Raid challenges that can be played with the help of friends or a Guild.
