Rocksteady Debuts Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League at DC FanDome

Five years after concluding their Batman: Arkham trilogy, Rocksteady is coming back to the DC Universe. Only this time, they’ve set their sights on Task Force X. With a little help from LEGO Batman himself, Will Arnett, the studio premiered the first trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The trailer introduces players to the four-person team consisting of Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark. We also meet their “alpha target,” Superman. But this isn’t the Big Blue Boy Scout that DC fans are used to, which is made clear when the Man of Steel incinerates a seemingly innocent pilot with his heat vision.

Arnett also spoke to Rocksteady’s Sefton Hill to get some more dirt on the upcoming release. Hill described Kill the Justice League as a continuation of the Arkham-verse. Additionally, it marks the first time that Rocksteady has brought the city of Metropolis to life. Hill even went so far as to call it “the fifth character in the game.”

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022.
