Netmarble Announces Marvel Future Revolution Open-World RPG Mobile Game

The developer behind Marvel Future Fight has revealed its next game.  At PAX East, Marvel and Netmarble unveiled Marvel Future Revolution, a new open-world RPG mobile game. They also dropped the first trailer for the game; which teases a cataclysmic event called the Convergence.

Additionally, the trailer leans in hard on the MCU incarnations of Captain America, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and Doctor Strange. At first, the clip appears to be reminiscent of the Battle of New York from The Avengers movie. However, the invading forces appear to much more dangerous than the Chitauri.

Fortunately, the heroes also have a helping hand…from themselves. Spider-Man encounters Spider-Punk, a hero from a world where Hobart Brown was bitten by the radioactive spider. Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange also have doppelgangers that get in on the action.

Via ScreenRant, writer Marc Sumerak described the game as “a multi-universal catastrophe where Earths are about to collide with each other.” That will allow several incarnations of Marvel’s heroes to encounter each other and face dangers side-by-side.

Netmarble hasn’t announced a release date for Marvel Future Revolution. However, it will probably be released this year.
