Netflix has released a ton of Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 updates, including a new featurette, images, and the full voice cast for the animated show based on the iconic Netflix series.
In a celebration of “Stranger Things Day” (the day that Will Byers went missing in Hawkins, Indiana), Netflix has released a new video revealing more of the upcoming animated show.
In it, Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of Stranger Things, talk about their inspirations for the show, while showrunner Eric Robles discusses capturing the magic of the original show for the animated series, which takes place between Seasons 2 and 3 of Stranger Things.

Who will star in Stranger Things: Tales From ’85?
Alongside the featurette, Netflix has also released the full cast list for the upcoming show. The voice cast for Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 stars Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Ej (Elisha) Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper. Additional voice cast includes Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips.
“Welcome back to Hawkins in the stark winter of 1985, where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town in Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an epic new animated series,” reads the official logline for the series.
Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 does not yet have a premiere date, though it is expected to arrive on Netflix in 2026. The fifth and final season of Stranger Things, meanwhile, begins on November 26, 2025.
