Marvel Studios‘ potential Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 has received a brand new update, teasing the Disney+ revival’s future. This comes after production on the second season had already been completed over a month ago.
What will have to happen for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 to occur?
According to a new report from Nexus Point News, the Season 3 renewal of Daredevil: Born Again will reportedly depend on the critical and audience reception of Season 2. At the moment, the first installment currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is 12% lower than the original Netflix show’s Season 1 rating.
Even though Season 3 hasn’t been greenlit yet, the studio has already started preparations for its potential renewal. If everything goes as planned, the cast and crew will be back on set in March 2026 for the start of its Season 3 production. Both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are reportedly under contract for three seasons of Born Again. Should the show go beyond Season 3, they will have to renegotiate their contracts with the studio.
Daredevil: Born Again is executive produced by showrunner Dario Scardapane, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, and more. The ensemble cast includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Margarita Levieva as Heather, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Nikki M. James as Kirsten, Clark Johnson as Cherry, and Michael Gandolfini as Daniel.
Season 2 will also introduce new cast members Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor, along with returning Marvel star Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. This will serve as the latter’s Marvel Cinematic Universe debut after the Netflix show ended its three-season run last 2019. Following Ritter’s casting, fans have also started speculating that the rest of The Defenders might also be appearing in Season 2, including Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist.
