Four more actors have joined the cast of the Harry Potter HBO show.
Warner Bros. Television and HBO’s new Harry Potter show is currently in production. The series will star Dominic McLaughlin as the titular character, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and more.
Who has joined the cast of the Harry Potter HBO Max show?
On Instagram, the official HBO Max account announced that four new stars have now been officially cast as Ron Weasley’s siblings.
“The Burrow is nearly full,” the post reads. “Joining our very own Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, we warmly welcome Tristan Harland as Fred Weasley, Gabriel Harland as George Weasley, Ruari Spooner as Percy Weasley, and Gracie Cochrane as Ginny Weasley to the HBO Original Series Harry Potter. (Charlie’s in Romania at the moment but will be joining us soon enough…)”
Tristan and Gabriel Harland both previously starred in a BBC Two/Netflix historical drama series titled The Kingdom. Spooner appeared in a 2024 short film called Syncopation, while Cochrane had a minor role in Steve McQueen’s 2024 Blitz movie with Saoirse Ronan.
The cast of the Harry Potter HBO show also includes John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Leo Earley as Seamum Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.
An HBO Max premiere date for the first season of the Harry Potter series has not yet been announced, though it is expected to arrive at some point in 2027.
