Ahead of its production start in London, the Vision Quest episode count was accidentally revealed online, along with the list of directors who have been tapped to helm the Disney+ project. The show will be written and directed by showrunner Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard), who will also be executive producing.
What is the Vision Quest episode count and director lineup?
Recently, eagle-eyed fans were able to spot some new details about Marvel Studios‘ upcoming series, including the Vision Quest episode count. Posted through production designer Will Hughes Jones’ website, he revealed that the Disney+ show will have a total of eight episodes. Although the Vision Quest section has already been deleted from the website, fans on social media were still able to take a screenshot of the show’s creative team. It has been revealed that Matalas will be directing the episodes alongside Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, and Vincenzo Natali, who are all no strangers to the sci-fi genre.
Byrne and Natali previously worked with Matalas on the short-lived 12 Monkeys series. Byrne’s other notable TV credits include American Gods, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and Star Trek: Discovery. Meanwhile, Natali also worked on the Nikita and Star Trek: Picard shows. As for Monteiro, this marks her second collaboration with Marvel Studios, after previously directing three episodes of Agatha All Along. She also directed episodes for popular shows like Wednesday, The Witcher, and The Walking Dead: Dead City.
Vision Quest serves as the second spin-off to the award-winning WandaVision series. This comes after the successful series launch of Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha All Along show, which currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is set to feature the return of Paul Bettany as he reprises his role as White Vision. So far, the ensemble cast also includes Emily Hampshire as the voice of E.D.I.T.H. and T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, along with returning MCU stars James Spader as Ultron and Faran Tahir as Raza.
