Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan across both live-action and animated Star Wars projects, recently addressed whether it was possible that her character could meet Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano in a future live-action series.
“Yeah. I mean, I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t at some point,” Sackhoff told The Direct. “But, you know, again, I have no idea. You know, I have absolutely no idea. They don’t tell me anything until I show up at work with my script in hand.”
Bo-Katan and Ahsoka Tano previously shared the screen in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, where Ashley Eckstein voiced the latter. Both characters are also allies of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), the titular protagonist of Lucasfilm‘s first live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. Bo-Katan and Ahsoka made their respective live-action debuts during the second season of the critically acclaimed Disney+ show.
What does Bo-Katan think of Sabine Wren becoming a Mandalorian Jedi?
Bo-Katan also shares a history with Star Wars Rebels character Sabine Wren, who made her live-action debut in Ahsoka Season 1. The Direct asked Sackhoff what Bo-Katan would think of the Mandalorian Jedi Sabine had become by the end of Ahsoka’s first season.
“I think that Bo has always worked side by side with the Jedi and the Mandalorian people,” Sackhoff replied. “And I think that she sees the benefit of the two groups working together. And I think that she would, she would probably think nothing of it other than, ‘Wow, that’s pretty wonderful. Good for you.'”
Sackhoff is expected to return to the role of Bo-Katan for the upcoming fourth season of The Mandalorian. While there have been rumors pointing to Bo-Katan replacing Din Djarin as the lead protagonist of the Disney+ show given her increased presence in Season 3, Sackhoff assured fans in November 2023 that The Mandalorian “will always be Din Djarin’s show.”
She explained, “I think in this situation, I think that the story of the Mandalorians and the story of Bo-Katan needed to be told, I don’t believe in any way that it was taking away from Din [Djarin’s] story, nor was that ever the intention. And you know, Pedro and I aren’t in charge of who gets to lead the show [laughs]. This is Din Djarin’s show, it will always be Din Djarin’s show.”
