The World Is on the Verge of a Social Crisis in Arcane’s Final Trailer

The League of Legends World Finals are upon us, and so is the release of Arcane. Netflix has now debuted the final trailer for the first-ever adaptation of the popular MOBA game. Unlike its predecessors, the new video expands the world where the story of Vi and Jinx takes place. For instance, we see a massive division between an upper part of the world, inhabited by rich people, and a gloom underworld filled with resentful citizens. While once there was harmony in a society that existed as a united tribe, now the social groups are taking on each other. Amid all this, Vi — voiced by Hawkeye‘s Hailee Steinfeld — has finally found her missing sister, but their encounter might go differently than expected.

According to the official description, “Arcane dives into the delicate balance between the rich city of Piltover and the seedy underbelly of Zaun. Tensions between these city-states boil over with the creation of hextech — a way for any person to control magical energy – in Piltover; and in Zaun, a new drug called shimmer transforms humans into monsters. The rivalry between the cities splits families and friends as Arcane brings life to the relationships that shape some of League of Legends’ famous champions including Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Jayce and Viktor. Based on the world behind the game League of Legends, the animated event series features a complex world filled with moral decisions, breathtaking animation and suspenseful storytelling.”

Netflix will release Arcane act 1 on Saturday, November 6. Unlike in the past, the streaming service is splitting the series into three acts, each consisting of three episodes. Act 2 and 3 will follow on November 13 and November 20, respectively. In the meantime, you can check the freshly released poster for the series.
