Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie Cast in Tim Burton’s Wednesday

Netflix adds another marquee name to the cast for Netflix‘s Addams Family sequel series, Wednesday. According to a report by DeadlineGame of Thrones and Star Wars vet Gwendoline Christie has been attached to a leading role in the upcoming show. Christie will play the principal of Nevermore Academy, Larissa Weems. The details about her character are still relatively scarce. However, it appears she has a beef with her former classmate Morticia Addams, portrayed by Catherine Zeta-Jones for the occasion. Fans might imagine that Weems will pour her hatred for the long-term rival onto Morticia’s daughter, Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday. It will be interesting to see how Luis Guzmán’s Gomez will react to the rivalry teased by the Tim Burton-directed show.

Christie will appear in another project by Netflix later this year, as she will portray Lucifer in the Sandman live-action adaptation.
