Morty Makes Some Bad Decisions In Rick and Morty Season 5 Episode 4 Cold Opening

If you’ve been watching Rick and Morty since the beginning, you may have noticed Morty’s moral decline. Way back in the early episodes, Morty wouldn’t dream of taking a life. However, he basically murdered the Tina-tiers last week, and he slaughtered hundreds of dog people in the season premiere. The common denominator is always Morty’s desire for female companionship. He’ll do almost anything for that. Regardless, Morty’s previous bad choices may pale in comparison to his latest decision.

Adult Swim has debuted the cold opening for this week’s Rick and Morty, which you can watch below. In the clip, Morty discovers a way to sidestep not having a girlfriend in the wake of his breakup with Planetina. Regardless, he may soon come to regret his course of action.

It’s also reminiscent of Morty’s sex robot episode from season 1, when he fathered Morty Jr. without intending to. This time, the consequences may be even more dire for Morty and the world at large. Additionally, we don’t expect Rick will remain in the dark about this forever. Morty’s attempt to shift the blame was pretty transparent.

Rick and Morty season 5 episode 4 will premiere on Adult Swim this Sunday, July 11.
