The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Has Been Pushed Back To 2021
Originally, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was set to premiere in August before production shut down for several months. While The Falcon and the Winter Solider is currently filming again, it won’t be enough to bring the show out this year.
Via ComingSoon, Disney+ has updated its page for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier with a note that says “coming 2021.” It doesn’t offer any additional details beyond that, but an early 2021 release may be likely.
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are headlining the series as Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/ the Winter Soldier, respectively. Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp are also reprising their roles as Helmut Zemo and Sharon Carter. Additionally, Wyatt Russell will play John Walker/U.S. Agent, with Miki Ishikawa, Desmond Chiam, Carl Lumbly, and Noah Mills in supporting roles. Georges St-Pierre will also return as Batroc. There may also be a few other surprise additions to the cast.
Here’s the official description of the series from Disney+:
“Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
