Amazon’s The Wheel of Time Series Recruits Three New Cast Members

The COVID-19 outbreak may have halted production on Amazon’s The Wheel of Time adaptation, but the series is still putting its cast together. The show’s official Twitter account has just revealed three new additions: Pasha Bocarie, Jennifer Preston, and Izuka Hoyle have joined the series in supporting roles. You can check out the announcement below.

Bocarie starred on the British soap opera Emmerdale from 2014 to 2017. He’s also had guest-starring roles on several other British TV series including Law & Order: U.K., Babylon, and Silent Witness. Similarly, Preston has appeared in Borg vs. McEnroe, Britannia, and also guest-starred in two episodes of SYFY’s 12 Monkeys. Hoyle also has a resume consisting of British TV work, including stints on Clique and Jerk. She also co-starred in Mary Queen of Scots in 2018.

The Wheel of Time’s producers have drafted Bocarie to play Master Grinwell, a farmer and the father of nine children. Preston is playing his wife, Mistress Grinwell. Meanwhile, Hoyle will play Dana, but there doesn’t seem to be a character who goes by this name in Robert Jordan’s original novels.

Back in March, the ongoing health crisis forced The Wheel of Time to suspend filming in Prague. However, the show’s Twitter account has been passing time by orchestrating a book club for new and old fans alike to read the series’ first installment: The Eye of the World.

The Wheel of Time is still without a premiere date.
