We are less than a month from the heavily anticipated revival of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. To fuel fans’ hype, Disney+ released the names and the synopses for the first two episodes of the upcoming Season 7 of the show. Apparently, the series’ premiere will focus on the Bad Batch, a squad of Clone Troopers set apart from their kin due to genetic mutations. The new crack squad should have already debuted in Season 6 before Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm threw things into limbo for a while.
The Clone Wars Season 7 premiere is called “The Bad Batch,” and its synopsis reads as follows:
“Captain Rex and the Bad Batch must infiltrate an enemy base on Anaxes.”
The second episode will feature the return of Anakin Skywalker, on his way to becoming the notorious Darth Vader. The synopsis of “A Distant Echo” reads:
“Anakin Skywalker, Rex, and the Bad Batch make a shocking discovery on Skako Minor.”
The new series will consist of twelve episodes. The story will focus on the final days of The Clone Wars as well as what happened to Ahsoka Tano after she left the Jedi Order.
The cast includes Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker, James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano, Dee Bradley Baker as Clone Troopers, as well as Tom Kane as Yoda, and Matthew Wood as General Grievous.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 will hit Disney+ on Feb. 21. What do you think about the synopsis of the first Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes? How do you think the story will develop? Let us know in the comments section below.
