Epix’s Pennyworth Experience Coming to San Diego Comic-Con

There are already a lot of Batman-related activities taking place at San Diego Comic-Con next week. But now, Epix is joining in on the fun by bringing an interactive Pennyworth experience to the Gaslamp district.

Epix has announced a special immersive exhibit that will be located at the Oxford Social Club from July 18 to 20. Fans can visit the Pendry San Diego, located at 435 Fifth Avenue. As they enter, they’ll be transported back to London in the ’60s; which is when and where the Batman prequel series is set.

To get in, fans need to provide a “secret password,” but there will be clues within the room to deduce what it is. Once granted entrance, visitors will encounter The Scarlet Rope. This is a lounge with gambling, drag performances, and music, straight out of the 1960’s. Fans can get pictures with dancers, take in a round of blackjack, and more.

Visitors can also check out the library, where butlers will be at their beck and call. They may also want to keep an eye open for members of the Raven Society, who will be on hand with surprise gifts. These include potential memberships. Those lucky enough to attain one will enter the Society Headquarters, where they’ll take part in a live macabre poetry reading. There’s also a hidden dungeon, with even more secrets waiting below.

The exhibit hours for the Pennyworth experience are noted below:

Thursday, July 18: 11:00 AM-5:00 PM

Friday, July 19: 10:00 AM-7:00 PM

Saturday, July 20: 10:00 AM-7:00 PM

A Comic-Con badge is not required to attend the experience. However, there could be a wait time to get in, depending on demand.

In addition, for those that are going to San Diego Comic-Con, a special Pennyworth screening will take place on Wednesday night at 6:00 PM, alongside Batwoman and other DC-related shows. It’ll be held in Ballroom 20. There will also be a special video presentation for Pennyworth on Friday, July 19, at 4:30 PM, along with a Q&A featuring members of the cast and producers.

Epix will premiere the series on July 28. Will you be watching Pennyworth when it debuts? Let us know in the comments below!
