Adam Driver’s Mister Sinister is reportedly being considered for an appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars, according to a new report by James Mackwl. The claim suggests that Driver’s character could be introduced as a ruler of a mutant territory on Battleworld, potentially bringing the villain into the Avengers storyline before the planned X-Men reboot. There is currently no official confirmation from Marvel Studios regarding Mister Sinister’s role in the film.
The report comes shortly after another rumor about Driver’s future as the Marvel villain. MyTimeToShineHello previously claimed that Mister Sinister could be connected to the main antagonist of the MCU’s next saga and suggested that Marvel is looking to attach another prominent actor to a cameo. The well-known scooper reported, “The idea is for Mister Sinister (Adam Driver) to work for the big bad of the next saga. They are casting a big name for a cameo.”
Mister Sinister has a long history of serving or working alongside powerful characters in Marvel Comics. His connections have included Apocalypse, as well as other major figures such as Kang the Conqueror and the Celestials. However, there is no confirmation that the MCU will use those comic book relationships. Marvel Studios confirmed Driver’s casting at Disney’s D23 convention.
Anthony and Joe Russo are directing Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled to release on December 18, 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars is set to follow from the directing duo on December 17, 2027. For now, Mackwl’s claim about Driver’s Mister Sinister appearing in the film remains unconfirmed.
