The most hyped DCU show, Lanterns, has divided fans over Kyle Chandler’s portrayal of Hal Jordan. While some fans have praised his performance, others have not been impressed.
As reviews have begun to emerge, the San Francisco Chronicle offered a critical take on the show. The review described Chandler’s portrayal of Hal Jordan as unhinged and raw. One of the main reasons for this was how the character used the f-word frequently in the series. The frequent use of profanity has led some viewers to find the portrayal overly edgy.
However, there were positive reviews too. @ZachhPope termed the show the ‘best’ following the release of The Batman. They also praised Jordan’s personality as the tweet read, “Kyle Chandler is a stellar Hal Jordan, bringing that charming charisma mixed with a ‘go f*** yourself’ attitude that fits the character perfectly, while Aaron Pierre might genuinely be everything we need in a John Stewart.” @Darren_Mooney, too, praised the show as ‘phenomenal.’ Speaking about Chandler’s Hal Jordan, the review read, “… Kyle Chandler is incredible.”
