A newly released BTS video from Spider-Noir is giving fans a disturbing look at one of the series’ most terrifying creations. The clip reveals the extensive practical effects work that went into creating the terrifying ‘Spider Soldier,’ offering a detailed look at the makeup and prosthetic transformation process. The video has quickly caught the attention of fans, many of whom praised the man-and-spider hybrid creature’s disturbing appearance.

A newly shared behind-the-scenes video has offered a closer look at the practical effects work behind the show’s unsettling ‘Spider Soldier’ creature. The clip showcases the elaborate makeup and prosthetic process used to transform the performer into the character, giving fans a glimpse at one of the series’ more horrifying creations.

Sharing the video on Instagram, the artist, Gary J Tunnicliffe, credited special effects designer Vincent Van Dyke and several other crew members for bringing the creature to life. According to the post, the footage was from the character’s first test and featured contributions from Ken Niederbaumer, hairstylist Sasha Camacho, and dental effects artist Jason James.

The caption read, “@vincentvandykefx incredible ‘spider soldier’ creation for the excellent SPIDER NOIR @spidernoirprime – this taken during the first test.” It also encouraged viewers to watch Spider-Noir to see how the practical effects fit into the show’s darker world.

Tunnicliffe wrote, “I’m sure Vincent will be posting numerous pics, detailing the process and all the talented crew involved, but for now here’s a little taster. NOW, get over to Amazon Prime and start watching and see how this (and so many other great practical mufx) play into the shadowy world of Nic Cage’s Ben Riley / The Spider.”

Unsurprisingly, the creature design quickly caught the attention of fans, many of whom shared their reactions in the comments section. One viewer wrote, “This was creepy & Disturbing. Loved it!” while another commented, “Ohh that freaked me out. Great job!!” Meanwhile, Spider-Noir premiered on May 25, 2026.
