One of the worst-kept secrets for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is that it will feature a fight between Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. While Marvel Studios and Sony have yet to confirm the altercation, upcoming merchandise for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie has revealed a key new detail about the scene.
What are the new details about the Spider-Man vs. Hulk fight in Brand New Day?
Names for three upcoming Lego Spider-Man: Brand New Day sets have leaked online, revealing two key sequences that have long been rumored to appear in the MCU movie. The first, “Prisoner Transport,” is believed to involve Scorpion, who is making his long-awaited return to the MCU. Michael Mando is reprising his role as the fan-favorite villain from 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.
However, the second leaked set is the one that fans will be speculating about for the foreseeable future. Titled “Spider-Man vs. Hulk at the Office Building,” it reveals that Spider-Man and Hulk’s fight will take place, at least partially, in an office building, making for some close quarters for the two to be exchanging blows.
The set’s name makes no mention of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, who is also reported to be part of the fight. Also absent is the fact that they will be fighting Grey Hulk. While the same Hulk as the one fans have grown to love in the MCU, his skin will reportedly turn grey after Jean Grey’s powers are used on him.
The third and final Lego Brand New Day set is a buildable Spider-Man figure that will likely be based on the hero’s new suit, which was first teased at the end of 2021’s No Way Home.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will pick up some time after the events of 2021’s No Way Home, which ended with the universe forgetting who Peter Parker was. While plot details are under wraps, the sequel is expected to be more grounded than the multiverse adventure fans witnessed in No Way Home.
Destin Daniel Cretton directed Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
