Avengers: Doomsday is set to feature a lot of Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes, from Thor and Black Panther to the Fantastic Four and X-Men.
However, scooper MyTimeToShineHello recently claimed that the three heroes who appeared in the Multiverse Saga’s most-important post-credits scene will reportedly not appear at all in the upcoming crossover event.
Avengers: Doomsday won’t feature three fan-favorite MCU heroes
According to the scooper on X, Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Binary will not appear in Avengers: Doomsday. All three appeared in the 2023 MCU movie, The Marvels, the post-credits scene of which introduced Kelsey Grammer’s Beast to the MCU.
With Grammer confirmed to be returning as Beast for Doomsday, many fans believed that Monica Rambeau and Binary would appear in the Avengers movie, given that the two characters also appeared in the post-credits scene.
However, it now looks like Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel will be the only main hero from The Marvels to appear in Doomsday, at least according to MyTimeToShineHello. James Mack, another scooper on X, has pushed back on MTTSH’s report, wanting to “know what kind of drugs you’re using so I can use them too.” This suggests that MTTSH is incorrect and that all four characters from The Marvels will indeed appear in Doomsday.
At the time of writing, Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, and Lashana Lynch have not been officially announced by Marvel Studios to be reprising their respective roles as Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, Ms. Marvel, and Binary in Avengers: Doomsday. However, many fans believe that they will appear, especially since The Marvels director Nia DaCosta revealed earlier this month that she visited the set of Avengers: Doomsday last summer.
Larson has also teased her involvement in Doomsday. In November 2025, she shared a photo of herself wearing a wig that matched the color and length of Captain Marvel’s hairstyle. The actor even called attention to the wig by telling fans to “ignore” it, leading many to believe that she was deliberately teasing a Captain Marvel reprisal.
With Avengers: Doomsday set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, fans have less than a year left of waiting to see if The Marvels will appear in the crossover movie.
