Fallout Season 2 Release Date, Time & Schedule Changes for the Better

After a last-minute change in its release schedule, Fallout Season 2 will premiere earlier than planned. The release of Season 2 of the hit action-drama, set in the universe of the iconic video game franchise, was originally slated for December 17, 2025. The new release date moves the premiere up by one day, giving fans an earlier return to the Wasteland.

All Fallout Season 2 episodes to release a day early on Prime Video

Amazon MGM Studios seems to be giving away a sweet little holiday season gift to all Fallout fans. Its much-awaited Season 2 will premiere a day earlier than planned, on December 16, 2025, instead of the original December 17 release date, the studio announced. In April last year, all episodes of Fallout Season 1 became available on the same day. However, this time Prime Video will follow a weekly release schedule, with episodes running through February 4, 2026.

The release schedule is as follows:

  • Episode 1 – December 16, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT
  • Episode 2 – December 24, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT
  • Episode 3 – December 31, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT
  • Episode 4 – January 7, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT
  • Episode 5 – January 14, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT
  • Episode 6 – January 21, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT
  • Episode 7 – January 28, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT
  • Episode 8 – February 4, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT

Set in the universe of the popular Fallout video game series, the TV show by Amazon MGM Studios tells an original story.

Back in 2024, Screen Rant asked the showrunners why the show doesn’t directly adapt a storyline from the game. Executive producer Jonathan Nolan explained that the thing that felt essential to himself and Todd Howard, Game Director and Executive Producer at Bethesda, was that the series “would be in a new locale with new characters and a new story that connected to all of the other stories, honored all of the other stories, maybe helped to amplify some of the pieces of the other stories but that fit and played well with all those other pieces.”
