With the first volume of Stranger Things Season 5, which is set to conclude the story, already out, the cast members of the Netflix show sat down with Vanity Fair for a Hot Seat interview. During the interview, one cast member would have to take a question and try to answer for the group.
Millie Bobby Brown puts Stranger Things Season 2 at the bottom of her list
Stranger Things cast members Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, and Finn Wolfhard appeared on Vanity Fair’s Hot Seat, where they answered a key question at the very beginning. The group was asked their ranking of the Stranger Things seasons, from favorite to least favorite.
The camera stopped on Millie Bobby Brown, which meant she had to answer the question. “Season 1’s my favorite, then Season 5,” Brown said after pondering for a second. She continued, “Then Season 3, then Season 4, then Season 2.” She was asked to expand on her ranking of the Stranger Things seasons.
Brown explained, “Season 1, nostalgia-wise, it’s my favorite season. Personally, it was the most exciting time of my life. But Season 5, the way it looks, the way it feels, the plot – all of it is my favorite.” She added about Season 2, “Least favorite, Season 2, just ’cause I don’t really remember it.” She further said, “Everyone hates Episode 7.”
However, Noah Schnapp and Gaten Matarazzo disagreed and argued that the season wasn’t as bad as it was made out to be. “I think Season 2 gets way too much slander,” the Will Byers actor said. Matarazzo added, “Underrated season.”
The first volume of Season 5 of Stranger Things, containing the first four episodes of the final season, is now streaming on Netflix. The second volume, containing the next three episodes of the season, will arrive on December 25, 2025. The series finale will then be released on December 31, 2025.
