A new announcement tied to Disney’s villain inspired anime has pushed its renewal status into the spotlight. The update outlines confirmed details about the series’ next chapter as viewers track development progress following its ongoing 2025 rollout.
Disney Twisted-Wonderland the Animation renewed for Season 2
The official @DisneyPlus account announcedon X (formerly Twitter), “That’s right! Season 2 has been announced!” and highlighted that Season 1 continues streaming weekly on Disney+ and Hulu. A new teaser clip introduced the update by featuring scenes from the currently airing first season, Episode of Heartslabyul, which premiered on October 29, 2025.
The teaser shifts focus midway as Leona Kingscholar, voiced by Yuichiro Umehara, appears for the first time in animated form. The clip confirms that Season 2, titled Episode of Savanaclaw, is in active production.
The promotional video emphasizes that the anime adapts the Twisted-Wonderland mobile game, which reimagines Disney villains as bishonen characters within Night Raven Academy. The studio noted that the eight-episode first season remains available for streaming as work on the next arc continues.
Additional information from the series’ official social media channels states, “Season 2 ‘Episode of Savanaclaw’ Animation Project in Progress.” This marks the first production update since Disney announced the renewal in late October. At the time, Disney confirmed that the anime will run for three seasons, with each season adapting one major storyline from the game.
Reports state that Season 1 includes four episodes and that Season 2 will follow the Savanaclaw arc from the game and manga. The new storyline again centers on Yu at Night Raven Academy as the character faces the next dorm chapter. Although Disney has not announced a release date, the team reportedly began production shortly after Season 1’s debut.
Aniplex produces the anime and streams it exclusively on Disney+ worldwide.
