A Hawkeye actor is officially back in the MCU for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. However, Tony Dalton‘s return as Jack Duquesne, aka Swordsman, came with some real battle scars. He confirmed that filming for the Disney+ series was physically demanding, even leaving him injured after shooting intense action scenes.
Daredevil: Born Again’s Tony Dalton reveals injury from Season 2 action
Tony Dalton is reprising his role as Jack Duquesne in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. He opened up about the physical toll of filming, revealing he sustained a painful injury during production.
While speaking to ComicBookMovie.com’s Josh Wilding, Dalton revealed, “I did a bunch of action stuff for this next one that’s coming out of Daredevil, and man, I got hurt… hard.” He added, “I think I must have chipped a rib or something because for two or three weeks I was in bed. I had bruises all over me.”
Dalton continued, sharing that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 isn’t holding back when it comes to its stunt work. “Those guys go hard. The action sequences on those, they say, ‘We’re right on your face, so it’s you, you jump there, hit that guy, and he punches you in the face with a tube.’ It’s like, ‘Okay, let’s go!’ That’s gonna come out and it’s gonna be a lot of fun,” he stated.
In Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Dalton’s Jack Duquesne resurfaced as a vigilante operating in New York City. It ultimately landed him in Mayor Wilson Fisk’s secret underground prison. Now, Dalton’s revelation suggests Duquesne might escape or be freed in Season 2, or even possibly align himself with Matt Murdock’s team of vigilantes to take on Fisk’s anti-hero task force.
The upcoming Season 2 has wrapped filming and will premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2026.
