Gabriel Luna would love to return as Ghost Rider after Agents of SHIELD
The Terminator: Dark Fate star has expressed his willingness to reprise his role as Robbie Reyes, also known as Ghost Rider, years after his appearance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Speaking to Comic Book Movie while promoting his upcoming project, The Astronaut, Gabriel Luna reflected on his time in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and shared how deeply he still values the character.
The 42-year-old actor, who has recently gained recognition for his performance as Tommy in HBO’s The Last of Us, noted that he remains deeply connected to the Ghost Rider character and the broader Marvel universe. He said, “I’m open to it,” before adding, “As somebody who loved that part and loves that character with all his heart, and somebody who loves that universe and storytelling…I always keep the door open.”
Additionally, Luna expressed appreciation for his former Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. co-stars. This includes Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet, and Ming-Na Wen, who recently praised the Ghost Rider storyline at New York Comic Con.
The Fubar actor explained, “Basically, naming that fourth season as their favourite, which means a lot, because they had such a beautiful family on that show and delivered seven really wonderful seasons. For them to hold that season as the jewel of their experience really is special.” He concluded with, “Yeah, I love Robbie, I love the Ghost Rider. You know, they have them number.”
During the same interview, Gabriel Luna also opened up about his recent acting choices, drawing similarities between his roles in The Astronaut and The Last of Us. He said, “There’s a lot of heart to these characters.”
