Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man voice actor Aleks Le recently teased some details about the plot of Season 2 of the show. Following the release of Season 1 in January 2025, the show was well-received by fans, and a second season was announced soon after. Hudson Thames voices Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, in the show alongside a talented supporting voice cast that includes Colman Domingo, Charlie Cox, Zeno Robinson, and Grace Song, among many others.
Expect Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 to be ‘more tragic’
Season 2 of the animated show, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, will be “more tragic,” according to Amadeus Cho’s voice actor, Aleks Le.
In a recent conversation with The Direct, Le was asked to tease something related to Season 2, and he stated, “The only thing that I can tease is that what we did in Season 1, it just gets more and more grand, more tragic, more funny. Yeah, it’s great. The people on that show are amazing. My friend Jeff Trammell, who is the showrunner, he does incredible work, and I’m so glad that the show was so well received, and I’m so excited to see all of it in this new season.”
With work on Season 2 already halfway done, it’s possible that fans may see new episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man in 2026.
However, while speaking to Collider after Season 1 concluded in February 2025, Brad Winderbaum, the head of Marvel’s TV & Streaming, said, “We will have a Spider-Man season every year if I have anything to say about it. What usually happens, as you know, in animation, is that there’s a bigger gap between Season 1 and Season 2 than in subsequent seasons, and that’ll be similar in Friendly.” The Marvel TV head also added that fans will have to wait a little while for the next season, but later on, the seasons will roll out on an annual basis.
