The Rick and Morty Season 9 release date will not be too far away following the finale of Season 8. This is based on the production update given by Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden, the voice actors for Rick and Morty, respectively.
In a recent chat with Screen Rant, Cardoni and Belden shared the status of development on Season 9. Additionally, the duo revealed what fans can expect from the upcoming season. Belden shared that they’re “almost done” with their part on the show. He added, “Well, Ian’s done. I’m almost done,” thus suggesting that Season 9 might arrive sooner.
Harry Belden further expressed disappointment over not being able to share any plot details about Season 9. He stated, “I wish I could say anything about it. I can’t, but season 9 is incredible. It just keeps getting better.”
On the other hand, Ian Cardoni shared that he has “wrapped the principal recording on season 9.” He conveyed, “I can tell you, we’re very excited for where this show is going.” Cardoni also urged fans to prepare for Season 9 by tuning in to the current one and watching it thoroughly. He said, “The best way to prepare for season 9 is to hone in on 8. Watch very carefully, rewatch it, get all those moments. There’s going to be a lot that is built upon.”
