Fantastic Four NBA Promos Reveal Fantasti-Car, Baxter Building, Wrist Devices & More

Marvel Studios recently launched several promos and TV spots as part of the NBA and Fantastic Four‘s tie-up marketing. This includes a detailed look at the Fantasti-car, an iconic flying car associated with the Fantastic Four in the comics. They also teased what the team’s special wrist devices could do.

Fantastic Four’s NBA promos reveal Fantasti-car and more new footage

New footage released as part of Fantastic Four’s NBA promos unveiled the Fantasti-car and other key elements from the movie. One of the promos features the eponymous team of superheroes riding an elevator in the Baxter Building, a fictional property. In the comics, the five upper floors serve as the headquarters of the Fantastic Four. In the clip in question, the team is in a hurry so they can catch the “tip-off” of an NBA game.

Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm / Human Torch wonders why he has to ride an elevator when he can fly. As Johnny continues to press the button on the elevator, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm / Invisible Woman chides him by noting that Johnny’s actions won’t make the elevator go faster.

Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic rambles on about statistics. When the elevator finally reaches its destination, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm / The Thing announces that he’s helping Matthew Wood’s H.E.R.B.I.E. in the kitchen.

While this was officially launched, Marvel released other TV spots and promos, some of which show the Fantasti-car. Notably, in the comics, the Fantasti-car serves as an important mode of transportation for the Fantastic Four. It’s safe to presume that the cinematic version will have a similar usage,

One TV spot reveals alert devices. They are watch-like technological tools that seemingly alert the team of any incoming threats. While Avengers: Endgame’s time-space GPS devices that Tony Stark created were also watch-like tools, they have little to no similarity to the alert devices in this movie.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps premieres in US theaters on July 25, 2025.
