The first look at the Face/Off actor as Spider-Man Noir in the Prime Video series was unveiled at the Amazon Upfront presentation. Announced in 2023, the Spider-Man Noir series focuses on the titular Spider-Man variant, which also appeared in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Meanwhile, a user reacted to the leaked teaser images of Spider-Noir and appreciated the black and white theme. They wrote, “Absolute Cinema.”
Another fan commented, “This is about to be really good!!” On the other hand, a fan named @MJG lauded the theme as well and stated, “Black and white is cool.”
While some appreciated the show coming out in black and white and then color, others were unhappy with the decision. User @jameskmoon_ wrote, “No balls should have just done black and white.” Another fan questioned, “color? why would color be in a noir film.” Moreover, a third user named @kalasbollen labeled the studio as “cowards” and wrote, “Cowards. If it’s meant to be black and white, keep it that way.”
In addition to the release date window, the logline states that Spider-Man Noir will revolve around “an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York” who is “the city’s one and only superhero.”
