Speculation about Halle Berry’s return as Storm from the X-Men films in Avengers: Doomsday was addressed by industry scooper @MyTimeToShineHello.
On April 27, 2025, the scooper posted, “No Halle Berry in Avengers Doomsday, FOR NOW. Since right now they are only filming scenes with the cast we heard about during the announcement.” They added, “It could change later of course. You know how Marvel works. Berry could come in later. That’s my hope!”
This update contradicts an earlier rumor circulated by the same scooper, who previously stated, “Halle Berry’s Storm will return in ‘AVENGERS DOOMSDAY,'” on April 1, 2025. Halle Berry first portrayed Storm in X-Men (2000) and reprised the role in multiple sequels, with her last appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014).
Berry herself commented on the rumors during an interview with ComicBookMovie.com in September 2024, saying, “You never know. We’ll find out!” when asked about a possible return. However, at CinemaCon 2025, Berry said that fans hoping to see her in Doomsday should “keep waiting.” “It’s not going to be there,” she added.
Kevin Feige stated that the Avengers: Doomsday cast is not yet complete. He confirmed that more announcements will follow. The official reveal excluded several notable characters, including Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Hulk, and Scarlet Witch.
