Marvel’s Ironheart is generating renewed buzz after a rumored trailer release date surfaced online. The Disney+ series follows Riri Williams, first introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as she steps into her own story.

A new rumor claims Marvel will release the first Ironheart trailer in May 2025.

The claim comes from Nexus Point News, which posted on X (formerly Twitter): “’IRONHEART’ trailer will release in May.” The outlet did not cite any sources and responded with “Us” when asked for sources.

Marvel Studios developed Ironheart for Disney+, centering the series on Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne. The character debuted in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) and has been set for a solo project since then. Although the show dropped out of the spotlight in recent months, Disney+ briefly featured it in a general sneak peek.

Brad Winderbaum, Head of Streaming at Marvel Studios, confirmed the use of a practical suit for the series. In an episode of the Phase Hero: A Film and TV Podcast, he stated: “There’s a full practical suit. It doesn’t obviously do all the crazy things that the suit does, but we used a lot of techniques that go all the way back to the first Iron Man film.”

Winderbaum also explained that the suit was primarily built for visual reference: “Even if it had to do CG things… it had all the perfect lighting reference, so the emulation is just spot on.” A short clip released in March showed Riri’s new suit taking off from the ground.

The official synopsis reveals that Riri Williams returns to Chicago and embarks on a journey combining technology and magic. Villain details remain unconfirmed, though past speculation has linked both Mephisto and Dormammu to the series based on concept art. No official confirmation has been provided regarding the show’s antagonist.
