A new rumor has suggested that Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige wants Anya Taylor-Joy to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Previously, it was reported that actor Sasha Baron Cohen is also rumored to join the MCU as the extradimensional big bad Mephisto in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. However, nothing has been confirmed by the studio yet.
Marvel’s Kevin Feige wants to bring Anya Taylor-Joy to the MCU
According to scooper My Time To Shine Hello, Marvel Studios’ top management is keen to have The Queen’s Gambit actress Anya Taylor-Joy join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The scooper mentioned in a post on X, “Kevin Feige really wants Anya Taylor-Joy in the MCU and honestly who can blame him.” A similar claim was made by renowned industry insider Daniel Richtman in a post on his Patreon. Richtman mentioned in his post that Anya Taylor-Joy is being considered for a part in the “next ‘Spider-Man’ movie.” He further added, “I should remind people she was also eyed for the female Silver Surfer in ‘F4’ before the role went to Julia Garner.”
However, no official statements have been made about the rumor by Marvel Studios.
As per GamesRadar, while talking to Metro Entertainment in a recent press meet, producer of Spider-Man movies Amy Pascal addressed the rumors of Anya Taylor-Joy being considered in Marvel. She told the outlet, “She would be fantastic, she’s amazing, we’re not quite at that stage yet.” Pascal kept quiet about further details on the female characters in Spider-Man 4 and added, “There’s a lot of fantastic female characters, but I can’t talk about all this, I can’t tell you everything.”
Numerous rumors have already spread online about the film. As previously reported by SuperHeroHype, industry insider Jeff Sneider previously stated that rumors are going around that Zendaya, who plays MJ in the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies, might have a reduced role in Spider-Man 4.
