For The Throne Album With Game of Thrones Inspired Music Now Available

A couple of days before the biggest battle in Westeros’ history, HBO and Columbia Records have released For the Throne, a Game of Thrones-inspired soundtrack. The full list of artists on the album includes: A$AP Rocky, Chloe X Halle, Ellie Goulding, Jacob Banks, James Arthur, Joey BadA$$, Lennon Stella, Lil Peep, Maren Morris, Matthew Bellamy, Mumford & Sons, Rosalía feat. A.CHAL, SZA, The Lumineers, The National, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, and X Ambassadors.

The album includes also Jenny Of Oldstones, the new Florence + The Machine song that premiered on the show last week.

This is not the first time the popular music world has crossed over into Westeros though. In 2012, The National recorded The Rains of Castamere for the HBO epic drama. Then two years later, the Catch the Throne hip-hop mixtape came out with songs by Big Boi, Daddy Yankee, Common, and others, followed by a second volume featuring Mastodon, Estelle, Method Man, and more. In addition, popular singers or bands like Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, and Sigur Rós have made a cameo in the HBO series.
