Marvel Comics Reveals Secret Wars Tie-In Details

Following their reveal earlier this week regarding the 2015 event Secret Wars, Marvel Comics has announced the three types of tie-in comics for the series that will further expand on this new version of the Marvel Universe moving forward.

The first set of titles will be titled Secret Wars: Last Days, which deals with the characters of the Marvel U do with their final days before the begin of Secret Wars.

“What would you do if you learned today was your last day on Earth?” says Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso. “That’s the question your favorite Marvel heroes are going to ask themselves in their LAST DAYS story lines as they brace for Secret Wars and the end of the Marvel Universe.”

The second set is being titled Secret Wars: Battleworld, and will focus on each of the different countries that create the all-new Battleworld.

“If you want the full story of what’s happening across the surface of this new planet, BATTLEWORLD branded titles are for you,” Alonso said. “Who polices Battleworld? How do the various domains interact? What happens when those domains go to war? What strange, never-before-seen creatures inhabit this world? What familiar faces will make appearances? Fans who want to fully understand how each sector interacts with the others can’t miss out on these books!”

The final set is titled Secret Wars: Warzones, and will tell the stories of the individual nations in Battleworld as well as tease the future of the Marvel U.

“If you want a glimpse of what the future holds, you’ll find it in the WARZONES titles. Our creators let their imaginations run wild as they lay down the foundations for the future. Whether we’re revisiting the most popular events from Marvel’s past or telling completely new stories, you won’t believe what we’ve got in store for you.”

Secret Wars is set to begin in May with Jonathan Hickman writing and art by Esad Ribic. It will combine the continuity of not only the primary Marvel Universe, but also the Ultimate Universe and several other key stories into one singular Marvel Universe.
