Brian Michael Bendis Shares a First Look at Eddie Izzard as Powers’ Wolfe

Before taking the stage tomorrow at the New York Comic-Con panel for the new PlayStation series “Powers,” the show’s executive producer and comic book co-creator Brian Michael Bendis shared a personal note to fans over at the PlayStation Blog. He also revealed a first look at Eddie Izzard as the supervillain Wolfe. Check it out below!

Created by Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, “Powers” follows two detectives as they investigate superhero-related homicides. The series launched in 2004 through Image Comics and is now published by Marvel’s Icon imprint. The series stars Sharlto Copley as Detective Christian Walker and Susan Heyward as Deena Pilgrim. They’re joined by Michelle Forbes,  Max Fowler, Adam Godley, Noah Taylor and Olesya Rulin.

“Every day I get to sift through the footage from the day before,” Bendis writes. “…and every day I smile ear to ear because the show looks so good and the actors are giving amazing performances…I know many of you are eagerly awaiting the show and have been all over social media telling us as much… thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you like what you see — just note that what we’re showing is only a teeny tiny taste of what we have coming.”

Charlie Huston wrote the first episode and serves as showrunner with Remi Aubuchon. 30 Days of Night and “Hannibal” director David Slade will helm the first two episodes of the series, which will launch on the PlayStation Network this December.
