A followup on the thread offers the further information that they’re not looking for someone to actually fly a helicopter but rather someone who knows what they’re doing when asked to act the role.
As to how a helicopter plays into the film’s plot, last month’s set photos may have have already answered that question.
The Amazing Spider-Man is filming in 3D and is aiming for a July 3, 2012 release.
