Shang-Chi star Simu Liu has fired back at an angry Avengers: Doomsday critic. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit screens on December 18, 2026, and a hater of the film has received a cold reply from the MCU star.
On August 16, 2026, Simu Liu took to X, sharing the recently released poster of the next big MCU project, Avengers: Doomsday, and humorously wrote, “Please help me support this little indie feature im a part of! It secured a theatrical release in December, and we all worked really hard on it. Please help us spread the word!!”
An X user, @tobyemerald, replied to this post and commented, “I hope you’re not in it bro, I won’t be watching otherwise.” Liu immediately decided to hit back at this comment, as he replied, “The double negative is getting me a little bit, bro, but I guess you…won’t be supporting my indie feature? Also bro, where did you learn to construct sentences?”
Reading the response from the 37-year-old MCU star, the hater replied, “Lmfao, the real Simu Liu just replied to me. Gonna frame this tweet. (I just might take out time to see your little project, support independent creators, right?) Shang-Chi my dawg!”
Liu will be reprising his role as Shang-Chi in Doomsday, the film he ironically referred to as a “little indie feature,” which reportedly had a budget of approximately $400 million.
