To quote the Backstreet Boys, Marvel fans would like Sony to quit playing games with their hearts. Just a day after the release date for the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer was revealed, a new report is claiming that all is not what it seems.
Yesterday, scooper The Beyond Reporter claimed that the “first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be officially released online next Wednesday,” March 18, 2026. Unfortunately, MAJESTIC_ucm, another notable scooper, has now come out on X stating that the trailer released next week will be “a 44-second teaser” and not the full-length official trailer fans were expecting.
When is the full Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer arriving?
Instead, Spider-Man fans will have to wait another month for the full trailer to Brand New Day. “You can expect the official trailer at CinemaCon, and the second trailer on June 10th,” MAJESTIC_ucm shared on X.
The scooper had previously indicated back in February that Sony would “surely feature the trailer” for Brand New Day at CinemaCon, since that’s also where the studio dropped the first teaser for 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
CinemaCon runs from Monday, April 13, to Thursday, April 16, this year at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sony will be kicking things off for the event’s opening night, promising “an exclusive presentation highlighting its upcoming releases,” per CinemaCon’s website.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Tom Holland’s seventh appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. While plot details remain under wraps, the movie will be set four years after the events of No Way Home, allowing for Holland to play a far more experienced and established Spider-Man.
Production on the superhero sequel lasted from August to December 2025, with Destin Daniel Cretton in the director’s chair. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers wrote the screenplay.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
