Two MCU heroes may be showing up in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, according to a new rumor.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day, also known as Spider-Man 4, will be released in United States theaters this July. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie will once again see Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Which MCU heroes will reportedly have a cameo in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
According to a new rumor shared online by @Majestic_ucm, MCU heroes Kate Bishop and Kamala Khan will both have a cameo in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
This is just a rumor, meaning it should be taken with a grain of salt at this time. Not only has there been no announcement about Kate Bishop and Kamala Khan being in Spider-Man 4, but no future MCU plans for either character have yet been officially unveiled at this time.
Having said that, there have been many rumors about the two characters — played respectively by Hailee Steinfeld and Iman Vellani — having a presence in Avengers: Doomsday or, more likely, Avengers: Secret Wars. More specifically, there’s been much speculation that the Young Avengers could be formed in Avengers: Secret Wars, as that plot point was set up between Kate and Kamala in the post-credit scene of 2023’s The Marvels. If that truly is the direction that the MCU is headed in, a brief cameo (potentially another post-credit scene) involving Steinfeld and Vellani could make sense.
Apart from Holland, the confirmed cast of Spider-Man 4 includes Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Michael Mando as McGargan/Scorpion, Tramell Tillman, and Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone.
