Sadie Sink’s MCU Role Might Be More Important Than Fans Thought

Sadie Sink’s MCU role could wind up being more important than fans have initially thought.

Sink has been tapped to play an undisclosed character in Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day. It is also known that Sink will reprise this mystery role in Avengers: Secret Wars, which is the sequel to 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday.

What is the update on Sadie Sink’s MCU role?

There’s been no shortage of rumors and reports regarding who Sink may be playing in the MCU, with some of the more popular theories being Firestar, Jean Grey, Mayday Parker, or Rachel Cole-Alves. A new report from scooper Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus suggests that, whoever Sink winds up playing, Marvel fans may be seeing a lot of this character in the years to come.

Perez said when asked if Sink’s role is expected to last beyond Spider-Man 4 and Avengers: Secret Wars, “There’s a lot of secrecy involving her role in the movie and Secret Wars, that’s for sure. But there’s some new information that slowly trickles in from all places, and it’s difficult to filter out the noise from the real deal. But there’s a new lead to chase here, and if the lead turns out to be true, not only will she be expected to return post-Secret Wars, she may very well be one of the faces of the Mutant Saga.”

Given that so little is known about Sink’s character at this time, this is just a rumor for now and should be treated as such, as official details remain under wraps at Marvel Studios.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will see Tom Holland once again reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, while Jon Bernthal also returns as Frank Castle/Punisher. The movie will be released on July 31, 2026.

Avengers: Secret Wars, meanwhile, arrives on December 17, 2027.
