A new Spider-Man 4 update has shed some light on what fans can expect from Daredevil in the upcoming movie.
What’s the latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day update?
According to a new insider from Daniel Richtman, despite rumors about his inclusion in the film, Daredevil is “still not” in the upcoming Brand New Day. Charlie Cox’s inclusion in the film has been a point of rumors for some time, but despite fan hopes and theorizing, Richtman notes he won’t be.
Richtman also notes that a recent casting call for several Asian actors was likely due to Marvel Studios looking to include The Hand in the upcoming film. Although the film has had run-ins with Daredevil throughout their history, The Hand have also been a big factor in The Punisher’s comics, with Jon Bernthal’s character also set to appear in Brand New Day.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being directed by Cretton from a screenplay written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The movie will once again be led by Tom Holland as he reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Emmy winner Zendaya and Jacob Batalo are also expected to return for the sequel.
They will be joined by cast members Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Jon Bernthal, and Tillman, among others. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, and Avi Arad.
Spider-Man 4 will be released in United States theaters on July 31, 2026, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17, 2027).
