Avengers: Doomsday‘s trailer is rumored to be attached to the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, and Marvel Studios’ reported strategy for teasing the film has left some a bit frustrated.
Why are people frustrated about the Avengers: Doomsday trailer strategy?
In a bit of a surprising rollout strategy, Marvel Studios seems to be ready to release multiple trailers for Doomsday in the coming weeks. According to THR, Disney will have a new teaser trailer for Doomsday release weekly with screenings of Fire and Ash. This has led to frustration from both fans and creators online as to how they can go about talking about the film.
Several creators online, like Brandon Davis and Grace Randolph, have taken to social media to express frustration over the rollout strategy and what it might lead to. Namely, many are unsure if certain things can or cannot be covered or discussed when it comes to what exactly is available or has been seen by fans.
As of now, it remains unknown if Disney has any plans to release Avengers: Doomsday’s trailers online. Reports have suggested the trailers will be specific to Avatar screenings, however.
So far, several major stars from the MCU have been confirmed to be in the movie, including Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright’s Shuri/Black Panther, and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man.
More names for the upcoming movie include Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta’s Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer’s Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman’s Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour’s Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Winston Duke‘s M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen‘s Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki.
Several X-Men characters are also coming back for the upcoming movie, including Patrick Stewart‘s Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen‘s Magneto, Alan Cumming‘s Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn‘s Mystique, James Marsden‘s Cyclops, and Channing Tatum‘s Gambit.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on December 18, 2026.
