Tramell Tillman is joining the MCU, and everyone is wondering who the Severance star could be playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Following the announcement that Tillman will appear in Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, there’s been much talk about who he has been cast as. Many think that Tillman could be a villain; however, according to scooper ApocHorseman, he won’t be playing Tombstone, which is one of the more popular guesses going around.
Still, the world of Marvel is nearly infinite, and there’s no shortage of people that Tillman could be. Here are our five guesses as to who he’ll be playing in the MCU.
Who could Tramell Tillman play in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
Robbie Robertson
Robbie Robertson has a long, long history with Peter Parker in Marvel Comics, with the John Romita Sr. and Stan Lee-created character first debuting in 1967’s The Amazing Spider-Man #51. And, yet, we don’t have a Robbie Robertson that’s part of the MCU, yet. Introducing him in Brand New Day would make sense, especially if they also bring J. K. Simmons back.
Alistair Smythe
A theory that has been going around recently is that Alistair Smythe will be one of the main villains in Spider-Man 4. If that winds up being true, Tillman could make a great Spider-Smasher. Depending on how they use him, that could even wind up being a villain with a larger MCU role after Brand New Day.
Jefferson Davis
Kevin Feige has previously said that the MCU is staying away from Miles Morales until Sony’s Spider-Verse trilogy is finished. That doesn’t mean they can’t start laying the groundwork and introducing some supporting Miles Morales characters, though. We’ve already seen Donald Glover as Aaron Davis/Prowler. A scene or two in Brand New Day with Miles’ dad seems pretty plausible, doesn’t it?
Tarantula
There have been plenty of rumors going around that the villainous Tarantula will show up in Brand New Day; he’s not expected to be the main villain, but he and Michael Mando’s Scorpion will probably be interacting, if he’s truly in there. Tillman with the red suit and everything? Could be fun.
Molecule Man
Spider-Man 4 is part of Phase 6 of the MCU, right? As are Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Let’s assume that the Russo Brothers/Marvel Studios are at least somewhat accurately adapting Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić’s comic. Molecule Man plays a huge role in that story. The MCU doesn’t have a Molecule Man, yet, and there’s going to be so many characters in Doomsday and Secret Wars that introducing him there could be pretty jarring. Maybe he shows up for a little bit to let audiences get to know him in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
