MCU fans can expect to see Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk doing some serious damage in Spider-Man 4, according to a new rumor.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is currently in production. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie will see Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, while it’s also confirmed that Ruffalo’s Hulk will appear in the movie.
What is the latest Spider-Man 4 rumor?
Official details regarding Hulk’s role in Spider-Man 4have remained heavily under wraps; however, there’s been no shortage of rumors that, after donning the “Smart Hulk” persona ever since the events of Avengers: Endgame, Brand New Day will see him revert back to his “savage” personality.
Adding to the chorus of these rumors now is Displaying Model Behavior, a toy review channel with some inside knowledge about upcoming Marvel Legends figures.
“So Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk should be appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” host David Gillham says in the video. “Apparently, a savage version of the Jade Giant, which we haven’t seen for years and years. So it will be great to see Spider-Man having classic Marvel Comic-style adventures with other Marvel heroes in New York. Can’t wait for this.”
This is just a rumor at this time, as Marvel has yet to publicly reveal anything about Spider-Man 4’s plot.
The cast of the movie also includes Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, and Michael Mando as Mac Gargan as Scorpion. Additionally, both Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink and The Bear’s Liza Colón-Zayas have been cast in undisclosed roles.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in United States theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
