Spider-Man 4 Rumor Is Good News for Zendaya Fans

A new rumor regarding Zendaya’s role in Spider-Man 4 has emerged online.

Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is currently in production. The Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures blockbuster movie sees Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, while Zendaya and Jacob Batalon return as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson and Ned Leeds.

The Cosmic Circus recently shared a rumor suggesting that Zendaya would only have a “minor” role in Spider-Man 4. Scooper Daniel Ritchman further said, via Cosmic Marvel, that the actress won’t be filming any scenes in Glasgow and will have an “important” part to play in the story, despite not having a lot of screen time.” While plot details for Spider-Man: Brand New Day remain under wraps at this time, this would make sense given that Spider-Man: No Way Home ended with Peter being erased from MJ and Ned’s memory.

Now, however, scooper MyTimeToShineHello is reporting that MJ has a “BIG” role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This is only a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt at this time as, again, official plot details remain under wraps.

MyTimeToShineHello also reports that Spider-Man 4 is “the biggest Spidey movie yet. Despite being more ‘street-level,’ it’s even been described to me as Captain America: The Winter Soldier for Spider-Man.”

Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Wonder Man’s Destin Daniel Cretton, the cast of the Marvel movie also includes Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion. Additionally, Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink and The Bear’s Liza Colón-Zayas have been cast in undisclosed roles.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives in United States theaters on July 31, 2-26, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
