A new filing for Avengers: Doomsday’s production potentially reaffirms some of the MCU movie’s plans for Lewis Pullman’s Bob Reynolds/Sentry.
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday is currently in production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie is currently scheduled to arrive in United States theaters in December 2026. It will be followed by a sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, in December 2027.
What do we know about Sentry’s role in Avengers: Doomsday?
Per BBC, plans to film scenes for “a new Avengers film” — meaning there’s the chance this could also be for Secret Wars — in Berkshire have been officially submitted by Marvel to a council that can approve such matters. The council has already granted Marvel planning permission for another set nearby.
“Plans describe the set as a house with pavement and road markings and say filming is expected to take place over one day in August,” the article notes. “…Plans included with the application say a house – referred to as Annie Reynolds’ house – would be built by Prince Consort’s Drive, near the Windsor Great Park Environmental Centre.”
Annie Reynolds is Bob/Sentry’s mother, who is briefly seen in the shame rooms featured in Thunderbolts*. The filing means that Avengers: Doomsday might very well feature a sequence where Bob decides to return home.
While it’s possible that Marvel’s application could have nothing to do with the actual film, it does back up previous reports of Sentry’s mother being part of the movie. Those reports emerged after someone snuck onto the set of Avengers: Doomsday and shared a map that features “Annie Reynold’s House” as a location.
No official plot details for Avengers: Doomsday have been revealed at this time, meaning this news still should be taken with a grain of salt.
Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars follows on December 17, 2027.
