Batman: George Clooney’s Own Son Doesn’t Accept Him as Dark Knight

George Clooney may have played Batman in the past, but according to his son, it wasn’t the same as the Batman he likes now.

What did George Clooney’s son say?

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Clooney’s past role as Batman in the Joel Schumacher Batman & Robin was brought up. Clooney mentioned that his son has gotten really into Batman recently. When the actor told his son he played Batman before, his son had a hilarious response.

“My son, his new guy that he loves is Batman. So I said to him, ‘I was Batman,’ and he was like, ‘not really.’ And I was like, ‘You have no idea how right you are,'” Clooney said with a laugh.

Clooney appeared as Batman in the 1997 film Batman & Robin, a sequel to 1995’s Batman Forever, which starred Val Kilmer as the titular hero. The history of Batman & Robin is complicated. It received generally negative reviews and is often considered one of the worst iterations of the character ever.

However, some consider the film a cult classic. Alongside Clooney, Batman & Robin also starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris O’Donnell, Uma Thurman, Alicia SIlverstone, Michael Gough, Pat Hingle, and Elle Macpherson.
